While at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts, we had an opportunity to catch up with one of the inductees – current New York Liberty head coach Katie Smith!
We asked Smith about where she was when she first got the call that she was in the Hall, some of her best moments from being in the WNBA as a player, and how much of an impact Bill Laimbeer has had on her career as a player and coach.
Smith also talked a bit about maintaining a sense of optimism around the Liberty in the face of unusual circumstances from the still pending sale and the move to White Plains.
