#4PEAT: UCONN Makes History with 4th Consective NCAA Championship Win

When the naysayers accuse your team of “ruining college basketball” because of your consistent success, there’s only one thing you can do: KEEP WINNING!

That is exactly what the ladies of UConn did last night after sweeping past Syracuse in a 82-51 victory to win their FOURTH consecutive NCAA Title. With this win, the ladies have made history by becoming the first Division I Women’s team to win 4 straight national titles. This win also propels head coach Geno Auriemma past John Wooden for the most title wins by any head coach in NCAA basketball.

This win is definitely more meaningful to the team and fans than the previous. It marks the end of an era for their senior leaders Breanna Stewart, Moriah Jefferson, and Morgan Tuck, who will graduate this year with Breanna and Moriah entering next week’s WNBA draft. The win also comes in the midst of a heated debate centered around UConn and whether their dominance is ruining college basketball. No matter what side you choose, the brilliance of Auriemma and these gifted young women is a sight to behold and one that should not be taken for granted.

Congratulations to the ladies of UConn!
