Bill Laimbeer, head coach of the Las Vegas Aces, made a bit of news yesterday when he announced that the Las Vegas Aces had inked a new multi-year contract with Kayla McBride.

Despite a rough go of things for the basketball artists formerly known as the San Antonio Stars last season, McBride bounced back in 2017 to average 15.4 points per game. She injured her right foot in a game in 2016 against the Minnesota Lynx and was sidelined for much of that season, but still averaged over 17 points per game that season.

She has proven to be a consistent scorer in the WNBA, and every year works on improving additional aspects of her game. She is very excited about our new franchise in Las Vegas and the opportunity for our team to grow.

For her career, McBride has averaged over 14 points per game along with a free-throw shooting percentage of over 88 percent.
