Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” Set For 2016 Re-Release

The Jordan 11.

It’s easily one of the most popular shoes to come from the Tinker Hatfield era, and probably is in every sneakerheads’ Top 10. The hype around their releases literally have to power to start  riots. To say that this iconic shoe is sought-after  is like saying  Donald Trump is “a little racist”,  or  like saying Future has “a few” baby mammas. Sneakerheads skipped  school and mid-terms to wait on-line (which is why the brand was forced to schedule releases on  Saturdays).

Yes, it was that  serious.

With that said, the best colorway  (in my opinion) is rumored to be up for re- release again this year. The Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam”, originally released in 1995, was featured in the movie of the same name, only adding to the hype surrounding  them. This is a smart business move for the Jumpman: 2016 marks the 20th anniversary of the movie and since they spent most of 2015 in the shadow of Adidas and Yeezy.

If these rumors are in fact true, look out for a possible Nov/Dec 2016 release. In the meantime, check out these sample photos (look identical to the 2011 version):
