It is only fitting that in this year’s All Star Game held in Seattle that the WNBA brought back the three point contest in a city known for rain.

A plethora of three point shots were heaved during the game itself, but at halftime, the Chicago Sky’s Allie Quigley took home the hardware as this year’s three point contest champion.

A check was awarded for $10,000 to the Patrick Quigley Memorial Scholarship.

That 27 in the championship round made things difficult for Sugar Rodgers of the New York Liberty, who advanced to the final round with Quigley after putting up a 22 score in the opening frame (including making her first eight shots). Quigley’s title round victory over Rodgers was 27 to 19.

Maya Moore had 11, Jasmine Thomas finished with 10, and Sue Bird, in front of her home fans, put a 7 spot on the board.
