Australia and the WNBA

This week, one of the greatest basketball players to ever come out of Australia had her jersey retired when the Seattle Storm honored Lauren Jackson by raising her No. 15 to the rafters at KeyArena.

It is tough enough being a player in The W with the schedule being what it is—not to mention with many players having to play overseas. Being a player from Down Under can be a kangaroo of a different type.

All. That. Travel.

Several WNBA players spoke with Excelle Sports the week of Jackson’s jersey retirement and talked about how much it does take a toll on their bodies and what they do to maintain their health throughout the year.
