While the United States Basketball Womens’ National Team will surely be the team to beat at this year’s FIBA Women’s World Cup, that does not mean other teams will not be presenting formidable squads themselves.

Among those is Canada, who announced its training camp roster which will meet up in Edmonton for an assessment camp starting today.

Four names that stick out to WNBA fans are Kia Nurse (New York Liberty), Kayla Alexander (Indiana Fever), Natalie Achonwa (Indiana Fever), and Adut Bulgak (Chicago Sky).

Nurse, Alexander, and Achonwa likely will not be available for the entire camp because of the WNBA season. Next month, Canada will play three exhibition games against Turkey before regathering prior to the World Cup itself in September.
