Last year featured a plethora of WNBA marriages – including those involving Skylar Diggins-Smith, Elena Delle Donne, Layshia Clarendon, and Karima Christmas-Kelly. One once notable marriage involving a WNBA baller to a former NBA’er has reached its end point.
The divorce of the Los Angeles Sparks’ Candace Parker from Shelden Williams, who played six seasons in the NBA, has become official, per a report out of TMZ Sports.
Court documents obtained by TMZ Sports reveal Parker has agreed to pay a $400,000 alimony fee. Along with that, she will no longer have to dole out spousal fees.
The two have also agreed to share joint and legal custody of their eight-year old daughter without paying child support, but while sharing educational and medical costs. Parker and Williams also split the profits on their recently sold home in Encino, California which for $3.75 million.
The two originally married in 2008 after Williams was drafted into the NBA.
