The 2020 WNBA season has had its fair share of highlights and lowlights, but when this season is over, one of the things we will remember about this season was how Courtney Vandersloot made history in the Wubble.
Courtney Vandersloot just set a new WNBA record with 18 assists in a game.
Tough 💪

And, fittingly enough, she connected with her wife – the other half of VanderQuigs – Allie Quigley for the record-breaker. And, fittingly enough, it resulted in Quigley doing what she does best – drain a 3-point shot.
“You know, at the end of the day these records don’t really matter. It matters that we won the game. But they do matter when you see your team that happy for you.” – @sloot22 pic.twitter.com/Meh8owC390

BIG CONGRATS to @Sloot22 on the 17 assists – a new @wnba assist record!! How cool was that #17 came with a pass to @alliequigley for a 3!!!
Happy for you Sloot!! 🙏🏽💙— Ticha Penicheiro (@TichaPenicheiro) September 1, 2020
Chicago defeated the Indiana Fever 100-77 and have clinched a playoff berth, but Sloot’s record-setting outing against the team located down I-55 is a reminder of why she has found herself strongly in the MVP race with Breanna Stewart (Seattle Storm) and A’ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces).
