Late last week, it was announced that CSN New England, one of two major regional sports channels available in the New England states, would broadcast 15 Connecticut Sun games this season.

The first CSN New England broadcast of the Sun will be on May 26 when they host the Minnesota Lynx at Mohegan Sun Arena. The channel will also air the Sun’s May 13 matchup vs. the Washington Mystics, its June 23 game vs. the Liberty, the June 25 tilt vs. the Dallas Wings, and August 4 game vs. the Phoenix Mercury.

Three of the games that are also on CSN New England’s slate of Sun broadcasts will be aired on a tape-delayed basis.

As our franchise continues to mature, increased visibility through all forms of media is a natural step in our growth process. With a team on the court that’s on the rise, we want to share the journey of our 15th season with our fans and we’re excited to do that through this extensive broadcast package.

Local CW affiliate WCCT-TV will also air three road games—the first of which occurred this past Saturday when Connecticut played the Indiana Fever at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The others will be at Chicago (May 28) and Los Angeles (September 3).

Veteran play-by-play man Bob Heussler will be paired with Sarah Kustok or Rebecca Lobo on Sun broadcasts.
