The First State’s favorite daughter will once again be returning to her home state when the Mystics face the Indiana Fever this May in a preseason game.

The Carpenter Center at the University of Delaware, where Delle Donne played her collegiate basketball, will play host to a Washington-Indiana preseason contest at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 12.

I am so thrilled that I get to share my Mystics family with my Delaware family.

I am sure that all of the Delaware faithful will show up as always and make the Bob feel like a playoff atmosphere.

Elena and her family have a special place in the Blue Hen community and we’re excited to welcome her home as well as provide this unique opportunity for our fans to watch the Mystics compete right here in Newark.

Notably, when Delle Donne was preparing for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, the USA Basketball Women’s National Team played an exhibition contest in Delaware against France which resulted in an 84-62 win. Delle Donne scored ten points in the win.
