Tamara James is not the only former women’s hoopster making moves in her life outside of the W. Tamecka Dixon, along with many others, is too.

Dixon, a former WNBA All-Star and current business owner in New Jersey, was recently named the Governor of the Board of Trustees at Union County College in the Garden State.

After attending Kansas, she was selected in the 1997 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks where she won two WNBA championships in addition to three All-Star appearances. For her career, she averaged just under 10 points a game—including a high of over 16 points a game in the 1998 season.

Since her playing days, she since became a financial advisor and also invested in Avis Car Rental.
