The Minnesota Lynx’s Lindsay Whalen not only plays for the WNBA team based in the Land of 10,000 Lakes—she also was born in Hutchinson, Minnesota. A few days ago, per a report out of KNUJ in Minnesota, the town recognized the accomplishments of one of its favorite daughters.

And as we women’s hoops aficionados know, her accomplishments are many. Among them—winning three WNBA championships with the Lynx, five WNBA All-Star appearances, being named one of the league’s 20@20 greatest in WNBA history, and a two-time Olympic gold medal winner.

It goes without saying that Whalen has done her team, her hometown, and her state proud with a resume like that…one that is still building.
