If there is a 2020 WNBA season, the Dallas Wings will have an Imani McGee-Stafford-shaped hole in its lineup as she is taking her talents from the basketball court to the courtroom.

The Wings veteran, according to a team press release, announced she would sit out the following two WNBA seasons to pursue a degree at Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles.

While I am saddened to step away from such a big part of my life, I’m also excited for this next chapter. I am thankful to Coach Agler and Greg Bibb for being so understanding and supportive.
