We all know what the Seattle Storm’s new Seattle Center Arena will look like on the outside with the renderings released by the Oak View Group with details including the Alaska Airlines Atrium becoming more known.

What we have yet to know is what the arena that will play host to Seattle Storm basketball, NHL hockey and possibly NBA basketball will look on the inside.

That changed when the NHL Seattle/Oak View Group released renderings of what the new Seattle Center Arena will feature on the inside.

Shawn Sullivan of the New York-based Rockwell Group told the Seattle Times that the goal was to create spaces within the venue that were uniquely Seattle.

When you come and move around after some events, you’ll see a space. And then, when you come back a month later, you see another space and it will always feel like a really rich assortment of Seattle-inspired spaces. And you’ll really recognize the diversity amongst all of them.

One of those areas is a Space Needle Club which features a glass ceiling and a view of the Emerald City’s signature landmark. Others include the Symetra Club, the Metropolitan Club and the Mount Baker Club. It also includes a Tunnel Club with a lit wall where fans can see the players as they head to and from the locker room.

The project also features Sideline Suites as well as a President’s Club with a bar and leather and velvet fixtures in Seattle’s signature emerald color.

People come to us to really kind of rethink some of these spaces.

And we’ve learned a lot. It’s really exciting to be able to do what we’ve learned over the past 30 years as a firm and collaborate with Tim and his team in Seattle.
