The Seattle Storm had parted ways with former head coach Jenny Boucek more than halfway through what was a playoff year in Seattle, but certainly not meeting the lofty expectations placed on the team at the start of the year.

Boucek has managed to land on her feet as she has been hired as an assistant coach with the Sacramento Kings.

She has become only the second woman in the NBA to hold a coaching position. The other, of course, is Becky Hammon, who is an assistant under Gregg Popovich with the San Antonio Spurs.

It is also a return to Sacramento for Boucek as she also served as a head coach of the Sacramento Monarchs where she coached that team to a pair of playoff appearances.
