Because of coronavirus precautions being taken north of the border, the Toronto Raptors have played its “home” games in Tampa, Florida instead of Scotiabank Arena this season.

When Jamal Murray, Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets visit Tampa to face the Raptors, fans in Canada watching on TSN will be treated to a very special broadcast.

Appropriate on International Women’s Day, the Raptors announced that the March 24 broadcast of Toronto-Denver will be an all women broadcast. Kia Nurse, who recently became part of the Phoenix Mercury via the five-team blockbuster that included the Seattle Storm, Minnesota Lynx, New York Liberty and Dallas Wings will provide color commentary alongside Meghan McPeak doing play-by-play.

Kayla Grey will provide sideline reporting with Kate Beirness and Amy Audibert hosting and also giving analysis.

More. Of. This. Please.

Yes, we’re making a point. We hope this leads to more recognition of the many roles women play in pro sports.
