Well….that was a short “retirement” for WNBA veteran Carolyn Swords.

A few months ago, she announced her retirement from basketball, but would be remaining with the Las Vegas Aces as part of its front office. Instead, the Aces elected to bring back swords as part of the team while waiving Avery Warley-Talbert and Lauren Manis.

Carolyn was happy to jump back into our franchise as a player, and she always has been, will continue to be a team player.

Her eight seasons in the W have included stints with the Chicago Sky, Phoenix Mercury and New York Liberty. Swords originally retired in late February to becoming the marketing specialist for the Aces.
