Beginning March 25 through the following, the United States Soccer Federation will stage its annual Urban Soccer Symposium which was last held in person in 2019 in Washington, D.C.

Yesterday, a month out from the big event it announced that a keynote speaker will be Layshia Clarendon, veteran WNBA player with the New York Liberty and member of the league’s Social Justice Council.

Registration is free for this year’s event.

The Symposium is described on the US Soccer Foundation’s website as presenting a “unique crossroads for youth sports practitioners, administrators, coaches, and community members to envision a world where all young people have the same access to high-quality sports programming.”

Through a blend of virtual workshops, keynote speakers, and networking opportunities, attendees will walk away with tangible tools they can use immediately to enhance their programming, and ultimately the lives of all young people.
