Yesterday, it was announced via press release that WNBA president Lisa Borders would be one of a number of basketball and political dignitaries that would be on hand at the Total Health Forum on Mar 1 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

The forum aims to look at methods that can be used to improve the overall health and well-being of children as well as their families. It also will take a look at reducing the perceived assumptions around mental health and how sports can be a catalyst in affecting this change.

The event is being co-hosted by Kaiser Permanente and the NBA and will also include Stephen Curry, Laila Ali, ESPN’s Hannah Storm, Dikembe Mutombo, Kaiser Permanente Chairman and CEO Bernard Tyson, NBA Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum, and Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms.

Bechara Choucair, Kaiser Permanente Chief Community Health Officer, will be leading a panel discussion. Ali is slated to talk about her perspective on being an athlete as well as a parent and wellness connoisseur striving for complete healthiness.
