Todd Troxel has been fired as assistant coach of the Phoenix Mercury after charges of disorderly conduct and misdemeanor assault.

Troxel is believed to have been involved in a “physical altercation” in the latter part of November with his fiancée at their home in Paradise Valley.
According to reports, his fiancée suffered a minor injury to one of her hands while that of Troxel’s was more serious.
Troxel, along with head coach Sandy Brondello, were previously assistants at UMMC Ekaterinburg.
