Pacers Sports & Entertainment has announced that current Indiana Fever head coach Pokey Chatman will assume a new role as she becomes the franchise’s general manager as well.

The announcement came with a second one – that the outgoing GM, Kelly Krauskopf would be leaving her role as Fever president as she assumes further responsibilities with the Pacers’ NBA 2K League team. It is one of 17 that will participate as the NBA’s ESports campaign kicks off in 2018.

Krauskopf will continue in a role as the Fever president in a position where she looks over the basketball and business operations.

We are fortunate to be able to widen Kelly’s duties to include oversight of and direction of our esports business, and to have an experienced general manager on hand in Pokey to work with Kelly in continuing to keep the Fever as one of the WNBA’s most successful franchises.

PS&E recently hired Robert “Cody” Parrent, who has an extensive gaming background, as director of the organization’s eSports operations.
