Reaction throughout the WNBA to Game 7 of NBA Finals

Whether it was the constant lead changes, Draymond Green’s 32 points, LeBron James’ block on Andre Iguodala late in the fourth quarter, or the ensuing celebration that had a team and city in celebration, the conclusion to the NBA Finals left everyone talking!

The Cavaliers won 93-89, and with it, finally ended Cleveland’s excruciatingly long drought sand a pro sports championship.

Given what was on the line for both the Warriors and Cavs in that Game 7, it drew a “Cav”-alcade of interest—particularly on social media in WNBA circles.

Anyone who watched THAT GAME had to be thinking the same…not just basketball aficionados in Cleveland and the Bay Area.

The late combo of LeBron James’ shot and Kyrie Irving’s three was what sealed the deal for the Cavs. Lindsay Whalen’s thoughts at one point in the closing moments were summed up in one word.
