Variety is reporting that there will be a WNBA presence in an upcoming Nick Cannon-directed film about women’s street basketball.

The flick, entitled She Ball, centers on Avery Watts, portrayed by Cannon, who enlists the baddest women’s streetball league in the city to help save and revitalized the beleaguered Inglewood Community Center. A major twist of the plot – Watts raises a seven-year old daughter while managing the center.

Ball Up, the entertainment studio for the streetball organization, is co-producing the movie along with Cannon and One Media Worldwide’s Demetrius Spencer. It also includes a few a-list celebrities, such as Cedric the Entertainer and Chris Brown.

Cannon and Baby “Birdman” Williams are also behind the film’s soundtrack.
