Rewind: Jordan Brand Classic Inaugural National Girls Game

The Jordan Brand Classic was over a week ago, but I’m still in awe at some of the talent I witnessed that night, especially from the National Girls Team!

It was the first time that the Jordan Brand hosted a national girls game, and monumental it was! Standouts like Kristine Anigwe, Lashann Higgs, and Destinee Walker put on a fantastic showcase of athleticism and skill. Straight up–THESE GIRLS CAN BALL!!

The East took home the victory with riveting, last minute victory of 76pts over the West, who ended with 75pts. The brightest stars of the night were co-MVPs Taja Cole, who led the West team with 26 points, and Napheesa Collier, who led the East with 22 points and 13 rebounds. (Yes….13!). We also can’t forget Stephanie Watts, who sealed the win for the East with 2 clutch 3-pointers in the final 30 seconds of the game.

Check out our brief recap of the historic game, where we also chopped it up with 4 of the gifted players, Kalani Brown, Brianna Fraser, Beatrice Mompremier, and Kyra Lambert:

The future is looking really bright for all of the ladies who suited up and played. Can’t wait to watch them flourish in college!
