About five to 10 miles north of downtown Seattle is Edmonds, Washington. It is a town located in Snohomish County somewhat equidistant between downtown Seattle and Everett – where the Storm played half of its 2019 home schedule at Angel of the Winds Arena.

Edmonds International Women’s Day 2021 is going virtual and two of its keynote speakers include four-time WNBA champion with the Storm Sue Bird as well as one of its co-owners in Dawn Trudeau.

The event adopted the theme #ChooseToChallenge for this year’s festivities which are scheduled to be held over the course of a couple of days. Among the topics that will be talked about during the virtual happenings include giving back to the community, education and maintaining one’s mental health.

The event is scheduled to be held March 7-8 and is being organized by Alicia Crank, a resident of Edmonds.
