New York-based cosmetics brand Glossier is aiming to showcase all types of women’s bodies in an effort to not only promote its products, but also body positivity.
The new brand’s campaign is entitled “Body Hero” and features nude photoshoots with notable female figures—including that of retired WNBA star Swin Cash.
She certainly had one of the more notable photos as Cash announced her pregnancy a few months ago.
The bare-based campaign is promoting Glossier’s new Hero Daily Oil Cleanser—which costs $18 and can be found at Glossier.com. Glossier’s website says it was inspired by face cleansers, so one was developed for the entire body. It says it turns from oil to froth and lifts grime and sweat from the body.
Also touted is how it will not affect the body’s pH since it is made with no water.
In addition, the ad campaign also included Mekdes Mersha, who, in addition to working with Glossier, is a clinical research coordinator at Mount Sinai Hospital…
