While the United States Women’s National Team will stage an in-person minicamp this month at the University of South Carolina, led by Gamecocks and national team coach Dawn Staley, Canada’s team was boxed in to holding a virtual training camp with its roster.

Canada named 20 players to its roster including a number of WNBA players. Those include Kia Nurse, Bridget Carleton, Natalie Achonwa and Kayla Alexander.

The roster also includes college standouts such as Aaliyah Edwards (UConn), Laeticia Amihere (South Carolina) and Merissa Russell (Louisville).

Team Canada is slated to hold a training camp in Edmonton in May as we get closer to the scheduled start of the Tokyo Olympics. Canada will begin group play in Group A with Spain, Serbia and Korea.
