Three weeks before the New York Liberty open the regular season at Westchester County Center against the Indiana Fever, a Liberty Legend – and soon-to-be Basketball Hall of Famer will be among one of the many speakers at a women’s leadership conference in White Plains.
Teresa Weatherspoon will be among many of the guest speakers who will be in Westchester from May 3-5 at the Essence of a Boss Conference at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in White Plains. It describes itself as a “women’s business conference curated by and for women of color.”
In addition to T-Spoon, Vivica A. Fox, Vanessa Simmons and Mahisha Dellinger were announced as keynote speakers. Selena Hill of Black Enterprise, television producer Tracey Baker-Simmons and others will also take part.
Those attending will be able to network with women leaders in a variety of industries and get tips on how to take the next steps in their careers.
