Wilson becoming WNBA’s official game ball

Cue the A’ja Wilson jokes and memes about how she is a shoo-in to drop at least 40 per game – which we guess will be a welcome sight for Las Vegas Aces aficionados.

Wilson Sporting Goods (no relation to A’ja, of course) announced a multi-year partnership with the NBA that paves the way for Wilson to be the NBA’s official game ball. In addition, it will also be the WNBA’s official game ball beginning with the 2022 season as well as the NBA’s 2021-22 campaign (it’s 75th anniversary).

Our passion for this game and the league runs incredibly deep, as does our history with it. And as we start this new chapter in the game, our focus and energy will be on supporting the league and the players, coaches and fans with the most advanced high performance game basketballs possible.

Wilson will replace Spalding as the WNBA’s official game ball.
