The status of one of the Phoenix Mercury’s major role players in doubt because of an injury that occurred overseas.

Jeff Metcalfe of the Arizona Republic and AZCentral.com wrote about how Turner had a hard landing in the course of a Russian League game and hurt her right knee.

Turner recently was re-signed by the Mercury. His report says that the Mercury have not said anything about what her status will be for the 2020 season – which is three months away.

Turner plays on a Nadezhda Orenburg team that also includes the Indiana Fever’s Erica Wheeler and the New York Liberty’s Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe. Nadezhda Orenburg is currently 10-6 on the season behind undefeated UMMC Ekaterinburg and a 14-2 Dynamo Kursk team.
