Forbes released its 30 Under 30 lists in several categories for 2021 and WNBA fans will be very familiar with a number of the names on the sports and media lists.
A’ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces), Chiney Ogwumike (Los Angeles Sparks) and Natasha Cloud (Washington Mystics) were all deservedly recognized. Wilson was last season’s MVP and competed in the WNBA Finals with her Aces vs. the Seattle Storm. Ogwumike has established herself as a star both on the court and in the media sphere as evidenced by her daily afternoon program on ESPN Radio. Cloud sat out last season and was one of many from the W family who tirelessly advocated for social justice in wake of the police killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. She also urged people to vote in the 2020 election.
The energyyyy on the media list was also noticeable as Forbes rightfully gave their flowers to our press sisters Ari Chambers (Bleacher Report) and Khristina Williams (Girls Talk Sports TV)!
As a wise woman once said … the WNBA is SO important.
