As Angel McCoughtry prepares to make her much-anticipated return to the WNBA and the Atlanta Dream in 2018, she is now making headlines in other ways as well.

In the below video courtesy of TMZ Sports, McCoughtry expresses her frustrations with why WNBA players have to go overseas to make more money because of the issues with league salaries.

Here’s some advice – pay us like you pay the men. I don’t want to get paid more overseas. I want to get paid in my country.

The TMZ interviewer primarily asked McCoughtry about her experiences playing in Russia and if she thought LaMelo and LiAngelo Ball would be successful in Lithuania. McCoughtry brought up the equal pay issue.

The issue of WNBA salaries also came up in a recent interview Chiney Ogwumike did with The Undefeated/ESPN, where she mentioned how her salary cap as a top draft pick was only $60,000.
