It turns out that Breanna Stewart grew up with hoop dreams…and ambitious ones at that.
What was a great career at the collegiate level at UConn is now blossoming into a great career at the WNBA level with the Seattle Storm—particularly after winning last year’s Rookie of the Year Award. But the goals “Stewie” set for herself were lofty from the beginning.
On Tuesday, she posted a picture on Twitter that described her goals for herself that she wanted to accomplish on the court. That picture speaks for itself.
My mom found this in one of my old notebooks from when I was younger lol… #Goals pic.twitter.com/pJX3LJs4B4

In her inaugural WNBA season, she averaged nearly a double-double with over 18 points per game and nine rebounds. This season, she has averaged over 20 a game with nearly nine rebounds a game. As of now, Stewart is tied for second in points per game with the Liberty’s Tina Charles and is sixth in the W in rebounding.
Her Storm also appear poised to qualify for the playoffs as either the seventh or the eighth seed. That would mean two playoff appearances in her first two seasons in the pros.
As far as the 25 blocks go…needless to say that would make the opposing team’s coach completely remove penetration to the basket out their game plan. No layups indeed.
