Even after departing from his previous post as coach of the Dallas Wings, Brian Agler apparently still remains a busy man.
On the final week prior to the new year, Agler was in Lapwai in the Idaho panhandle to host his third annual Holiday Hoops Classic.
KLEW-TV reported that in lieu of larger groups that smaller sessions of eight were held to allow for more one-on-one time with Agler. There was a session where kids learned basketball drills as well as a teleconference that touched on not only basketball but also mental health.
The event was free and participants took home a number of items – including Adidas apparel donated by Candace Parker.
In addition to formerly coaching the Wings, he also coached the Seattle Storm to a championship in 2010 and the Los Angeles Sparks to a championship in 2016.
