While the USA Basketball Women’s National Team hosts its training camp in Seattle – in preparation for an upcoming exhibition contest, a notable figure who was left off of the Rio 2016 team is now saying she is at her wits end with the organization.

Parker was a guest on the “Show Me Your Friends” podcast and lamented her displeasure with USA Basketball as of late.

I’m not playing USA Basketball anymore.

I’m one of those people. Once it’s done, it’s done.

She was left off not only the 2016 Olympic team, but kept out of the pool of players for this cycle of USA Basketball, that would eventually represent the Stars and Stripes at this year’s FIBA World Cup of Basketball and the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

It was more about loyalty. I’ve been loyal to you for this long. At least give me the heads-up that you might not make the team, and then I could choose…

She did say, however, that the decision had nothing to do with new USA Basketball head coach Dawn Staley, who is beginning her first Olympic cycle after replacing Geno Auriemma.
