Variety announced that WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert will be one of three keynote speakers at its Sports & Entertainment virtual conversations that will air on August 28.
Engelbert, along with the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Kevin Love and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers were announced as the keynote speakers. The conversations will occur at Variety’s Streaming Room the morning of August 28 from 12n-2p eastern standard time.
Her remarks will center on the WNBA’s social justice initiatives and how the league is still looking to grow amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
The list of speakers also includes Libby Geist, VP and executive producer of ESPN Films and Original Content, Greg Whiteley, the executive producer of “Cheer,” and Emile Deutsch, vice president of original programming and features for CBS Sports.
