Washington, D.C. was the center of the WNBA universe in 2019 with the Mystics finally prevailing and winning its first-ever WNBA title. The W’s first-ever commissioner, Cathy Engelbert, is slated to pay a visit to the Nation’s Capital a few months before the 2020 season likely tips off.
Engelbert will speak at a National Press Club Headliners luncheon on Tuesday Mar. 3.
According to a press release, lunch will be served in its ballroom at 12:30 prior to her remarks, then a question-and-answer period scheduled to conclude at 2 p.m.

National Press Club members can purchase tickets for $25 and non-members can buy tickets for $39.
