Current Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve has been named to the Atlantic 10 Conference’s Legends Class of 2017.

It is the fifth year that the Atlantic 10 Conference has inducted a new class. Each member school of the conference selects its two for induction.

Before Reeve was winning championships at the helm for the Lynx, she was a standout player for the LaSalle Explorers. Reeve won 89 games from 1984 to 1988. She broke the single-season assists record en route to an NCAA tournament berth for LaSalle. As a senior, she led LaSalle to a 25-5 season and another NCAA tourney.

Since her days in LaSalle, she has won three championships as the Lynx’s head coach, and was an assistant coach for Team USA’s gold medal win last year at the Rio 2016 Olympics.

There will be a breakfast that will take place on March 3 before the conference holds its women’s basketball quarterfinals. It is scheduled to occur at 8 p.m. in Richmond.
