The next time you are feeling the vibes to “Netflix and Chill,” make this latest documentary about one of women’s sports’ most notable names in one’s itinerary.
Netflix has a documentary called, “The Playbook” which has dedicated five episodes to highlighting the career of Dawn Staley – Philadelphia basketball icon, former Temple coach, current South Carolina coach as well as coach of the USA Basketball Women’s National Team.
Included in the documentary was when the Gamecocks won the national title in 2017 – culminating a historic turnaround for that school’s women’s hoops program.
The documentary is produced through SpringHill Company – meaning LeBron James and Maverick Carter.
The five episodes are called “Bring Your Own Ball,” “Growth Takes Place Outside Your Comfort Zone,” “Create a Home Court Advantage,” “The 24-Hour Rule,” and “What is Delayed is Not Denied.”
The series also features other noteworthy coaches – including Los Angeles Clippers coach Doc Rivers, Jill Ellis who won two World Cups with the United States Women’s National Soccer Team, and Patrick Mouratoglou – Serena Williams’ coach.
