Lots of times, the shoes can be what makes the athlete.
A plethora of notable celebrities were on hand in New York City for the Foot Locker On Our Feet gala, including the Phoenix Mercury’s very own Diana Taurasi.
DT3 spoke with Footwear News at the event, and she shared what are her three favorite pairs of sneakers ever.
Nike Uptempo. [Nike] Air Force 1s in all white, and [Nike] LeBron 10s – the best basketball shoe ever made. But the [LeBron] 15s are a close second. I think with that he finally made a shoe that encompasses comfort and light weight like no other.

She also ran into other noteworthy figures – including New York-based businessman Brandon Steiner.

We both agreed on many things. One thing for sure is that @WNBA basketball has amazing upside! pic.twitter.com/0DY4SEOXvO

The Steiner name became known to WNBA fans this past season. He attended the Liberty’s home opener at the Westchester County Center and was once rumored as a suitor to purchase the team from James Dolan and MSG.
