This year’s CES event in Las Vegas included a panel called Players Only which featured a cavalcade of basketball luminaries, past and present.
Among those notable names that was featured was the Washington Mystics’ Elena Delle Donne. The panel at CES talked about the rise of social media in the sporting lexicon and how players are using social media to help bridge that gap between said player and the fan.
The WNBA is no stranger to using social media to grow the game as last season was the first year of a multi-year pact to stream live games for free via Twitter.
