Elena Delle Donne continues to be first on the minds of onlookers and fans in the First State.
At its 71st annual awards luncheon, Delle Donne was awarded for the fourth time as the Delaware Athlete of the Year. It is the first time someone has won the award on four separate occasions.
It is also the first time Delle Donne won the award since entering the WNBA. Her previous three awards came in 2008 (when she led her high school alma mater to one of four state championships) and in 2010 and 2012 (during her collegiate playing days with the University of Delaware).
