According to documents, prosecutors in Florida have dropped assault and weapons charges that were levied last year against Riquna Williams of the Los Angeles Sparks.

Court documents were filed on Tuesday in Palm Beach County court and they indicate that the charges were dropped following Williams completing a diversion program.

When the charges were levied against Williams, she was served with a 10-game suspension by the WNBA. The league also required Williams to undergo counseling.

Williams was arrested on charges of assaulting her ex-girlfriend at a residence in South Florida. Another report said two men told sheriff’s deputies in Palm Beach County that it took 10 minutes to break up the altercation. Williams is reported to have grabbed a weapon, pointed it at an individual and said, “you’ll get all 18.”

Her agent, Orlando Castano, previously told Swish Appeal that the push for a suspension came from NBA legal counsel.
