While the Portland Fire’s history in the WNBA may have been one of the more short-lived in its history, references to its past still occur from time to time.
Take for example when the Portland Trail Blazers held 2000s decade night at the Moda Center and its former broadcaster was one of the guests on hand.
Mike Barrett, who was also a longtime voice for Trail Blazers games was introduced along with Damon Stoudamire and Travis Outlaw. He spoke with NBC Sports Northwest about how it felt to return to the hardwood.

Barrett is currently part of an effort to bring a Major League Baseball team to Portland.
