Coach Geno and the Ladies of UConn Protect The NCAA Title for a 3rd Time

We have a dynasty on our hand folks!!!

The UConn Women’s Basketball team protected the NCAA trophy by defeating Notre Dame for their 3rd consecutive NCAA Championship win. Top performers of the game included senior scoring machine Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis (15pts), Moriah Jefferson (15pts), and powerhouse forward Breanna Stewart (15rb, 4bl).

The 63-53 victory gave the elite program its 10th NCAA title under Coach Geno Auriemma, putting him among history making company. How so? He is now tied with legendary UCLA men’s coach John Wooden for the most NCAA title wins, and joins NBA legendary coach Phil Jackson for most wins in a major or professional sport.
