As a veteran in the WNBA, Erica Wheeler’s brand is already well-established within basketball circles. That brand soared to new heights after her performance in last year’s All-Star Game that earned the Indiana Fever guard All-Star MVP honors.
As her latest move displays, she is also very committed to ensuring she has a strong off-brand presence as well.

In a news release, it was announced that Wheeler had signed a marketing agreement with Distinction Agency which is based in Miami and “will assist Wheeler with continuing to build her brand off the court.”
It is fitting Wheeler inked this pact with Distinction given that she herself was also born and raised in Miami. Prior to hitting her stride with the Fever, she had stints with the Atlanta Dream and New York Liberty after entering the WNBA undrafted.
When evaluating marketing agencies, I prioritized finding a partner that has had success working with athletes, especially female athletes. Distinction impressed me with the caliber of work they have done for their clients. They are passionate about helping athletes build and monetize their brands off the court. I’m confident this will be a fantastic partnership for all of us.

Erica’s determination to become great has led to her becoming one of the top WNBA players. She is not only a star on the court but off of it. The work she does with businesses and in the community through The Wheeler Kid Foundation is exemplary. This is a tremendous day for all of us and we are ready to get to work.
