Women’s basketball fans everywhere know the name of Kelly Krauskopf, one of the most revered executives in all of women’s sports.
She was formerly the general manager and now president of the Indiana Fever and was recently named to run the Indiana Pacers’ eSports franchise.
Krauskopf will be honored at the 17th Masquerade on Oct. 13 at the Fever’s home arena – Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Masquerade is a big deal on Indy’s social calendar as it is the primary fundraising event for the Pacers Foundation and Simon Youth Foundation. It describes itself as a nonprofit that helps high school students graduate and assists with helping them find opportunities after graduating.
She was instrumental in building the Fever into one of the premier WNBA franchises – including several Finals appearances and the championship in 2012.
Though a native Texan, Indiana has become my home and I am proud to represent the Fever as well as our new enterprise, Pacers Gaming.
–Kelly Krauskopf
She is currently the longest tenured executive within the WNBA. Krauskopf was also on the committee for USA Basketball and helped select players for three teams that eventually won gold medals.
Krauskopf also serves on several boards and graduated from Texas A&M where she played women’s basketball.
Among previous honorees at the Masquerade is Tamika Catchings herself.
