If (and recent developments indicate that if will soon turn into a when) there is a 2020 WNBA season, the Las Vegas Aces, who were preseason favorites by many to take home this year’s championship back to Sin City will be without one of its key pieces.
Kelsey Plum, the No. 1 overall 2017 draft pick to the artists formerly known as the San Antonio (Silver) Stars, will miss the season due to an Achilles injury.
In addition to playing domestically with the Aces, she also plays internationally in Turkey.
It is expected that Plum will make a full recovery.
Where do I start….I tore my achillies tendon couple days ago. So many people that love and support me and will stand by me through this, I’m grateful. I’ll be back, better than ever. Just wait on it ✊

All of Las Vegas is in Kelsey’s corner, and pulling for a quick recovery.

We know that she will attack her rehabilitation with the same intensity with which she attacks the court, and we can’t wait to see her back at The House.

Plum averaged nearly nine points per game in 2019 for Las Vegas.
