Well….that was a short “retirement” for WNBA veteran Carolyn Swords.
A few months ago, she announced her retirement from basketball, but would be remaining with the Las Vegas Aces as part of its front office. Instead, the Aces elected to bring back swords as part of the team while waiving Avery Warley-Talbert and Lauren Manis.
OFFICIAL: Welcome back, @CarolynSwords! Las Vegas Aces General Manager Dan Padover announced today that the team has re-signed eight-year @WNBA veteran center Carolyn Swords, and waived Avery Warley-Talbert and Lauren Manis.

Her eight seasons in the W have included stints with the Chicago Sky, Phoenix Mercury and New York Liberty. Swords originally retired in late February to becoming the marketing specialist for the Aces.
